What is the Best way to Register and Setup Alexa Echo Wifi Network

Taking the technology world by a storm is the Alexa app and the Echo Devices designed by Amazon. The Alexa app lives in the Echo products as a voice generator that takes and delivers your orders. You can play music from your playlists, lookup on weather, traffic and other real-time updates, set alarms and reminders and do many more things using the app and the device. It only gets better with its compatibility with other smart devices. Connect Alexa to other smart devices in your house and have complete control over them. You can open/shut garage doors, turn on and off lights and do so much more with just your voice commands. Here is a simple guide on how you can comfortably register and set up Alexa Echo Wi-fi network to your Echo devices:

  1. 1. Download the Alexa app

The app is free to download in the appstore of your smart phone. This is the first and most important step in your set up process. The app can be downloaded only if you have one of the following operating softwares:

  • Fire OS 3.0 or higher
  • Android 4.4 or higher
  • iOS 8.0 or higher

You can also download the app from your laptop or computer through one of the following browsers: Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Internet Explorer (10 or higher) at https://alexa.amazon.com

  1. 2. Turn on your device

You are now required to turn on your Echo device by switching on the action button. The blue light will turn orange, and your device will greet you with an inbuilt voice. Ensure that your device is plugged in to the power adapter and charger at all times and is placed in a comfortable position away from walls and other obstructions for easy use.

  1. 3. Connect your Echo device to a Wi-Fi network

You will automatically be guided by your device on how to connect to an available Wi-Fi network. Make sure you have a strong network connection for effective communication and use of the device. The instructions given by the device is easy to understand and follow.

  1. 4. Talk to your device

Call out the woke word “Alexa” to get started. Speak in natural and free flowing sentences for the device to pick up your language and tone easily. You can always change the default woke word to some other option given to you in your settings.
